FAQ

The questions we get asked before every job.

If yours is not here, send it on WhatsApp. A straight answer costs nothing and usually saves a week.

It depends on the type of application, how complete the file is, and how quickly reviewer comments are cleared. A straightforward fit-out approval moves faster than a substation planning approval or a new plot connection. What we can control is the file: a complete, correctly formatted submission avoids the resubmission cycles that cause most of the delay. We give you a realistic estimate once we have seen your documents, and we update you as it moves.

Usually the trade licence, Emirates ID or passport copy of the owner or authorised signatory, the tenancy contract or title deed, the DEWA account or premise number if there is an existing supply, and any architectural or existing electrical drawings. For a load application we also need the equipment list. If you are missing something, tell us what you have and we will work out the shortest route.

We handle the submission. You provide the documents and the authorisation, and we lodge the application, track it, respond to comments and resubmit. You are copied on progress rather than asked to chase it.

Yes. This is an additional load application. We calculate the revised demand against the currently sanctioned load, check whether the existing supply cable and distribution board can carry it, prepare the revised drawings, and submit the application. If the board or cable has to be upgraded, we tell you before you commit, not after.

It is the No Objection Certificate DEWA issues for a water connection to a premises. You typically need it for a new connection, and for changes to an existing one such as a new kitchen, a new toilet block or a change of use. It is best applied for early, because it is a common cause of a delayed handover.

Yes. Fit-outs generally run two approval tracks at once, the authority and the landlord or mall management, and each wants a different drawing format. We produce a set that satisfies both, submit to each, and keep the two moving together.

We coordinate it. We confirm the date, brief your electrical contractor on what the inspector will look for, and make sure the premises and the documentation are ready. If observations are raised, we get them closed and the re-inspection booked.

All DEWA areas across Dubai. Our office is in Al Warsan 3 and we work across the emirate, from single retail units to plots and new developments.

Send a WhatsApp message to 055 645 2851 with the type of premises, the location, and what you need approved. If you have drawings or a load list, send those too. We come back with a scope and a fixed fee rather than an hourly estimate.
