An entrance camera and a camera watching a wide yard solve different problems. At a doorway the useful view is often the person approaching. In a yard it may be the movement between a gate, a loading area and a building. List those views before deciding how many cameras to discuss.
Review the recording setup
Think about who needs to review footage and where the recorder can sit. If you already have cameras, list the views you want to keep and the ones that lose detail in bright sunlight or after dark.
